Welcome from Commissioner Joseph Boschulte

On behalf of the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism, I welcome you to our amazing islands. Whether you are visiting for business or pleasure, we are delighted you have selected our destination. The U.S. Virgin Islands, all four of us, offer an unmatched experienced in the Caribbean.

The charm of St. Croix is mesmerizing. The natural beauty of St. John is captivating. The high energy of St. Thomas is infectious. And the tranquility of Water Island is relaxing. I invite you to experience the unique offerings of each of our islands. And thanks to their proximity and transportation options, island hopping could not be any easier!

Home to superb dining, exciting nightlife and duty-free shopping, St. Thomas is the most cosmopolitan of our islands. Our capital, Charlotte Amalie, is the most visited port in the Caribbean and boasts one of the most magnificent harbors in the world. Whether soaking up the sun on one of St. Thomas' many beautiful beaches, shopping along the downtown waterfront, or visiting island attractions, you will find plenty to fill your days and nights on the island.

Nature lovers and beach goers will find St. John heaven on earth. Two-thirds of the island is a National Park where you'll find dozens of pristine white sand beaches for sunbathing and water sports and miles of hiking trails for bird watching and exploring nature. Be sure not to miss the pre-Columbian petroglyphs found along the Reef Bay Trail or visit Annaberg Sugar Mill Ruins. Two quaint towns with eclectic shops and restaurants complete the one-of-a-kind St. John experience.

If time permits, catch a seaplane to St. Croix. Take some time to visit St. Croix, the largest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, where you'll experience a mix of rich heritage and culture with exciting land and sea activities. Pastel buildings, historic fortresses and majestic churches can be seen in the charming towns of Christiansted and Frederiksted, while offshore some of the best scuba diving sites in the world await your exploration.

Just within the Charlotte Amalie harbor you'll find diminutive Water Island, the smallest of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Relax at romantic Honeymoon Beach, tour the island's hillsides by golf cart and get to know a few of the 200 residents that call this tiny island home.

Thank you for choosing the U.S. Virgin Islands and I wish you a pleasant stay.

Sincerely,

Joseph Boschulte
