“Chris Monbelly, of Ital in Paradise, and I, Ariela Hayes, proprietor of Love & Light Books & Inspirations, teamed up to make Milk & Honey a reality for the health nuts of our community!
We picked that name to honor and recognize St. Croix as the beautiful, healing island that she is. Milk, the first thing babies taste, representing the purity of life, and honey the fun and sweetness that life thrives on seemed to us to be a combination that embodies what we want to share.
With a background in Energy Healing/BodyMind Counseling and a metaphysical book store under my belt, it seemed natural to me to evolve into creating opportunities for people to actively practice feeding a healthy body. Chris is a published author and a master with food which is showcased at his popular restaurant, Ital In Paradise, in Christiansted. With Milk & Honey, we’ve combined the aspects of both our businesses and are able to provide mental and physical nourishment to everyone intent on longevity, authenticity and connecting to the land.
Fruits, grains, nuts and berries are man’s original diet triggering our natural rhythm to holistically co-exist with our natural environment. We offer over fifteen kinds of smoothies and thick drinks, uniquely named, combined and consciously inspired by locations and places on St.Croix. Forty different nuts, dried fruits, and powders that can be purchased alone by the ounce or added as a healthy boost to any of our smoothies or warm cereals. When available, we utilize as much local produce and products as possible.
