Founded in the early 1980s by British traveler Sarajane Mace, Asha began as a way to fund her global adventures. What started as sourcing and trading jewelry, textiles and art from India, Nepal and Southeast Asia gradually evolved into something more personal, an expression of her love for textile design, ancient traditions and handwoven fabrics.
That evolution became the Asha clothing line: a collection rooted in authenticity, shaped by travel and guided by a creative spirit that refuses to sit still.
Today, Asha World Designs offers an eclectic mix of clothing, jewelry, accessories and globally inspired finds. The name itself comes from the Hindi word for “hope,” reflecting both the brand’s origins and its enduring connection to India, a place that continues to inspire its aesthetic and philosophy.
