Before moving to St. Croix from Sarasota, Florida in November of last year, Mitchell Nestor worked for one of the largest dive shop retailers in Florida, worked for one of the largest NAUI certification agencies, and owned a regional dental supply company; Andrea Hemphill was a Middle School Science Teacher in Minnesota and Florida.
Andrea received her open water diver certification in March, 2015, and Mitchell, who has been diving in Jamaica, Honduras, Tortola, Bahamas, and the Turks and Cacos, was certified in 1979 becoming a NAUI instructor 15 years ago. Adventures in Diving STX is the Official NAUI Dive Shop on St. Croix and Mitchell and Andrea were both certified in the NAUI Program.
“We both feel the Caribbean waters around St. Croix offer the visibility, diverse sea life, diverse diving depths, and wreck opportunities for any type of diver ability and we liked the pace of life and the “vibe” in Frederiksted when we were looking for a store front,” says Andrea. “We both feel Frederiksted offers many opportunities for business growth.
